The BBC have released a first look image of Martin Freeman in the new drama, The Responder.
The new BBC drama, written by ex-police officer Tony Schumacher, sees Martin Freeman play Chris, a crisis-stricken, morally compromised, unconventional urgent response officer tackling a series of night shifts on the beat in Liverpool.
Martin Freeman will be joined by co-star Adelayo Adedayo, who plays the role of Rachel, a new rookie partner.
Both characters discover that survival in this high pressure, relentless, night-time world will depend on them either helping or destroying each other.
Filming is currently taking place in and round Liverpool.
